Medway-based Charles River Bank was a sponsor of Bellingham's 4th of July music and fireworks, as it has been since opening its Bellingham office in 2010. The bank donated $1,000. Wachusett Area Chamber of Commerce presented three $2,500 scholarships to area seniors: Madeline Roy of Sterling, Nicholas Yanco of Rutland and Diane Peterson of West Boylston.

North Brookfield Savings Bank presented $10,000 in scholarships to 10 local high school students to help offset the cost of attending college.

Community Harvest Project of Grafton received a $5,000 grant from the Hopkinton Youth In Philanthropy program, hosted by the Foundation for MetroWest. In the program, 20 students learned about local nonprofits, raised money and initiated their own grant program, after a student-led review of applicants and proposals.
