Leominster-based Workers Credit Union donated $100,000 for the UMass Memorial HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital Emergency Room expansion on the Leominster campus. The $37.3-million project is slated for completion in 2019.

Worcester Community Action Council was among 43 recipients of grants awarded by the Massachusetts Bankers Association. WCAC's grant of $5,000 will support financial literacy initiatives at the agency.
