Charles Ying, chairman of Marlborough-based Bitstream Inc.‘s board of directors, has stepped down from that position due to a serious illness, the company said.
Ying has been with the software company for 13 years and was previously its CEO. The company said he will be replaced as chairman by Amos Kaminski, a board member and previous chairman.
Bitstream was founded in 1981 and develops software used in the graphic design and mobile communications industries.
