Nearly three quarters of CFOs said charitable giving or community involvement are important to their organization in a new survey by Robert Half Management Resources . The firm said the results are similar to those from a 2002 survey.
In both surveys about 30 percent of respondents said social responsibility programs were very important and about 44 percent said they were somewhat important. However a quarter said they were not important at all.
The survey, conducted by an independent research firm, includes responses from 1,400 CFOs from U.S. companies with 20 or more employees.
