Despite being competitors in Central Massachusetts’ highly saturated cannabis industry, two local social equity cannabis companies are teaming up to launch a new line of pre-rolled joints.
Major Bloom, a Black-owned dispensary in Worcester, and Delivered Inc., a minority-owned cannabis delivery company based in Clinton, have partnered to launch a co-branded pre-roll joint product called Kush Mints.
This cooperative product launch comes despite the fact the two companies are directly competing against one another, as both Delivered and Major Bloom offer home delivery to consumers in Greater Worcester.
“This collaboration shows how Major Bloom and Delivered are in business because we want to make a direct impact in our communities,” said Ruben Seyde, CEO and co-founder of Delivered. “We're putting our money where our mouth is and partnering up with one of the other few minority-owned cannabis businesses, despite the fact that in a traditional sense, we're direct competitors. We could've released a line of pre-rolls with any of the other manufacturers in the state, but it wouldn't have had a direct impact in the communities that we most want to impact.”
Kush Mints is an evenly balanced hybrid and a cross of the cannabis strains Animal Mints and Bubba Kush. The product, manufactured by Major Bloom in its Worcester facility, features two, one-gram pre-rolled joints in a single container. Kush Mints is available in a larger size package with seven pre-rolls.
“Known for its powerful relaxing and euphoric effects, we recommend this one for seasoned smokers only,” reads the product description on Major Bloom’s website.
Kush Mints is available for purchase at Major Bloom’s store or via delivery for the company. The product will be available via Delivered starting Thursday.
