Ten Central Massachusetts health offices were awarded in the first patient experience awards from the nonprofit Massachusetts Health Quality Partners.
The agency said it received more than 65,000 responses in its new awards program it started to recognize primary care practices performing best. It awarded offices in nine categories, with five overall best performer winners each for adult and pediatric practices, and three winners in each performance category. Some Central Massachusetts offices receiving multiple awards:

— Blackstone Valley Family Physicians, Northbridge: top pediatric-practice performer, distinction in patient-provider communications, distinction in how well providers know their patients
— Chair City Family Medicine, Gardner: distinction in how well providers know their patients
— Chandler Pediatrics, Worcester: distinction in ease of access to care, distinction in office staff professional excellence
— Community Pediatrics of Milford: distinction in office staff professional excellence
— Grove Medical Associates, Auburn: top adult-practice performer
— Hahnemann Medical Group, Worcester: top adult-practice performer, distinction in patient-provider communications, distinction in how well providers know their patients
— Reliant Medical Group, Webster: distinction in coordinating patient care
— South County Pediatrics, Webster: top pediatric-practice performer, distinction in empowering patient self care
— Worcester Pediatrics: top pediatric-practice performer, distinction in ease of access to care, distinction in office staff professional excellence, distinction in pediatric preventative care
