Amazon has received 238 proposals from communities across North America for its second headquarters, including three from Central Massachusetts.
The Seattle-based online retail giant has been soliciting proposals for its proposed 8 million-square-foot headquarters and up to 50,000 jobs. Worcester, Leominster and a coalition of Marlborough-area towns have submitted bids.
The state’s bid also includes proposed sites in Central Massachusetts communities, including some spots in downtown Worcester.
Amazon announced the number of proposals via Twitter on Monday, several days after the bidding deadline on Thursday.
