Central Mass Physical Therapy & Wellness opened its third location in space owned by United Health and Performance gym in Lancaster. Previously, the company had been seeing clients out of its West Boylston and Westborough locations.
The call to open in Lancaster came when the West Boylston location was at capacity and many clients were coming from farther north to seek treatment, said Mike Roberts, owner of Central Mass Physical Therapy & Wellness.
Opening at United Health and Performance is an opportunity to align similar philosophies, said Roberts, and will enable training and rehabilitation for handicapped and able-bodied clients to happen in the same place.
Unified Health and Performance is a strength and conditioning facility giving Special Olympics athletes an opportunity to become the strongest version of themselves, according to its website.
The gym offers state-of-the-art equipment not available at Central Mass Physical Therapy & Wellness’ two other facilities.
The first patients were seen at the location on Jan. 4th. Currently there is one therapist operating out of Lancaster, and Central Mass PT intends to increase to up to three based on demand.
