A Leominster technology industry software company, a Westborough recycling operation and a Worcester service center for small businesses are among the Massachusetts Small Business Week award winners announced by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Darlene Tucker, president of Solidus Technical Solutions, a Leominster firm that provides software and services to high-tech customers including the Department of Defense, received the administration's Entrepreneurial Success award. James Harvey, CEO of Westborough trash hauler and recycling center operator E.L. Harvey and Sons, won the Jeffrey Butland Family Owned Small Business award. The Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Central Regional Office at Clark University in Worcester received the SBDC Service Excellence and Innovation Award.
The Massachusetts Small Business Person of the Year is Paula White, founder and CEO of 600lb Gorillas Inc. in Duxbury.
