A new report from Stamford-based IT research firm Gartner Inc. said enhanced content and greater consumer awareness will push worldwide mobile-gaming to a $9.6 billion industry by 2011. Revenue from cell phone games hit $2.9 billion last year, and is on pace to hit $4.3 billion by year’s end. Most of that growth, however, will occur outside of North America, where mobile game revenues are projected to hit $1.7 billion by 2011.
