CareWell Urgent Care, which provides urgent care services in affiliation with UMass Memorial Health Care, will open a new location at 333 Southwest Cutoff in Northborough on Nov. 12.
It is the third site that CareWell and UMass Memorial have opened together, after opening two urgent care centers in Worcester in July.
The Southwest Cutoff location will serve patients in a convenient location near Wegman’s in Northborough, CareWell said. The center is designed to treat people with non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
UMass Memorial refers patients to CareWell sites when appropriate, thereby freeing up resources and cutting wait times in the emergency departments within its network.
Quincy-based CareWell has 14 centers in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and plans to open additional location in the next 12 to 18 months.
