Gardner-based Care Central VNA & Hospice, Inc. has named Kristin Mattson to the new position of chief clinical and development officer.
In this new role, Mattson will oversee the business development liaison team, develop and implement opportunities to execute alternate payment models for home based care, and collaborate with health systems across MA to optimize fluid transitions of care, Mattson told WBJ in an email on Thursday. She will also oversee clinical teams to ensure quality of care and up-to-date training.
Mattson served as senior director of home care for GVNA Health Care from 2015-20 and helped to facilitate the company’s merger with VNA of Southern Worcester County in 2020, as well as overseeing the conversion to electronic medical records and the agency’s response to COVID, according to a Care Central VNA press release on Aug. 11.
“Kristin’s perseverance, leadership and tenacious commitment to protecting the safety of our patients and staff over the past two years truly ensured our ability to meet the needs of our patients across 98 communities and five counties in Massachusetts.” Holly Chaffee, Care Central president and CEO, said in a press release.
