Marlborough medical device manufacturer CardioFocus, Inc. announced Thursday it added a new chief commercial officer and a vice president of U.S. sales.
Omari Bouknight will take over as CCO. He was previously vice president of sales and marketing for multinational startup Cardiac Dimensions. He received his master's degree of business administration from Harvard Business School and his bachelor's degree from Michigan State University.
Jeff Rynbrandt will take over as vice president of U.S. sales. He comes to CardioFocus from Marlborough medical device manufacturer Boston Scientific, where he had a 14-year sales career. He previously served for six years as an officer in the U.S. Army and earned his master's degree of business administration from Michigan State University.
Bouknight and Rynbrandt will work together on the commercialization of the HeartLight Endoscopic Ablation System, which has received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to treat paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, which affects 33 million people worldwide, according to the company.
