The Massachusetts Cultural Council has awarded a $32,500 grant to improve the Worcester Cultural Council’s WOO card.
The WOO card lets college students and others in the area get discounts and special offers on local cultural activities.
The Adams Arts Implementation Grant is intended to help the WCC, along with the City of Worcester and the Colleges of Worcester Consortium, expand the WOO card program. The city groups hope to have 9,000 active college card users and 2,500 registered cardholders from the general public by the end of the year.
The grant was one of 24 awarded around the state.
