Caliper Life Sciences, the Hopkinton-based biotech company, has settled two patent lawsuits involving the company’s imaging equipment.
Caliper and Rochester, N.Y.-based Carestream Health each filed lawsuits against one another alleging infringement of patents.
In February 2010, Caliper’s wholly owned subsidiary, Xenogen, filed a suit alleging that Carestream’s marketing and sales of in-vivo imaging products infringed on seven patents that are licensed to Caliper from Stanford University.
In July, Carestream filed a suit alleging that Caliper infringed on its patents.
The two companies announced that both suits have been dropped and each company has dismissed the claims.
Caliper used a Washington, D.C.-based intellectual property law firm to settle the litigation.
