Caliper Revenues Down After Businesses Sold

Caliper Life Sciences Inc. of Hopkinton announced a decline in its fourth-quarter revenues in 2010, but it said not counting the businesses it sold off in 2010, its revenues grew 10 percent.

In a preliminary report, the company said its quarterly revenues fell from $37.7 million in 2009 to $36.1 million in 2010. But that includes $4.4 million that the company made in 2009 from its RapidTrace and TurboVap product lines, which it later sold off.

Caliper said it expects its total revenues in 2011 to increase between 12 and 20 percent overall.
