Hopkinton-based Caliper Life Sciences Inc. reported a 10 percent revenue decline for the second quarter while swinging from a $4 million loss a year ago to a $9.2 million profit.
The company said the loss of revenue was the result of business divestitures carried out during the quarter. However, the divestitures put $11 million in the income column.
Restructuring charges totaled $603,000 during the quarter compared to $29,000 a year earlier.
Caliper’s operating loss was $1.8 million. A year earlier, it was $3.8 million.
