Cabela’s, the chain of outdoor clothing and equipment stores, is hiring about 200 people to staff its new store in Berlin, which will open in the spring, the Nebraska-based firm says.
The 88,000-square-foot store, the company's first Massachusetts location, will be located in the Highland Commons Shopping Center, just off Route 62 on the Hudson line, about a quarter-mile east of Interstate 495.
Cabela's currently operates 64 stores across the United States and Canada and has announced plans to open an additional 20 locations over the next two years.
"We are looking for candidates who are knowledgeable and passionate about the outdoors and will ensure our customers get superior service," Michael Wagner, general manager of the new Berlin store, said in a statement.
Cabela’s is accepting applications online at a web site, www.cabelas.jobs. Applicants are asked to click on "Apply Now," then select United States and Berlin, Mass., for the location and click "Search." Select a desired position then follow instructions to log in and apply. Selected applicants will be contacted for further information.
Cabela’s announced plans to open the Berlin location 18 months ago.
