Buyout Of Auburn Beverage Firm Complete
Quality Beverage of Taunton said it has completed its acquisition of beverage distributor Consolidated Beverages, based in Auburn. Quality will now operate two divisions, in Taunton and Auburn.
In 2007, Quality Beverage made its first investment in Consolidated Beverages, partnering with David Fields, a minority owner of Consolidated. To ensure a smooth transition following the acquisition, Fields will continue to work as a consultant until the end of the year, according to a statement from Quality.
Consolidated services customers in Worcester and 44 surrounding towns, which hold more than 900 liquor licenses. The acquisition expands Quality’s service area to four contiguous counties: Worcester, Middlesex, Norfolk and Bristol.
