Butler-Dearden has continued a consistent rate of growth despite the influx of new competition from non-traditional sources, such as Amazon and Staples. The company has done this by having a highly talented, long-tenured group of employees both in and out of the office. Its customers appreciate the wealth of knowledge that the employees can share with them to help them operate more efficiently.
In order to give back to the community, Butler-Dearden donates to a wide variety of nonprofits in the area. David Butler has been active in town government, including serving on the Boylston Finance Committee for 20 years, with the exception of the three years he served on the board of selectmen. David currently is chairman of the finance committee. David also is the treasurer of the Boylston Lions Club and serves on the Massachsuetts advisory board at the Devereux Foundation, a national organization that offers behavioral health services. David previously served was on the board of Boylston Youth Baseball & Softball and the Shrewsbury Youth Hockey Association.
