The first Central Massachusetts location of the California-based burger chain BurgerIM will open at a new retail plaza on Worcester's Gold Star Boulevard.
BurgerIM will be joined by a MedPost Urgent Care, an outpatient medical office, at a site formerly hosting a Girl Scouts center.
The property at 79-81 Gold Star Blvd., which sits at the intersection with Millbrook Street across from a Chick-fil-A, has a remaining 3,320-square-foot space available, according to Venture Retail Partners of Boston, a real estate advisory firm marketing the site.
BurgerIM has another Massachusetts location in the Allston section of Boston, and another planned in Burlington. It's the second growing chain moving into the region for the first time, along with Southern-style seafood chain Hook & Reel, which has opened at the former Lincoln Street location of Plaza Azteca, a Mexican restaurant, in the Lincoln Plaza retail complex.
BurgerIM hasn't given a timeframe for opening yet.
MedPost also has Central Massachusetts locations in Franklin, Northborough and Wayland.
Lisciotti Development of Leominster paid $1.25 million for the Girl Scouts site in November 2018. The Girl Scouts of Central & Western Massachusetts opened their new location this spring on Century Drive.
