B.T.’s Smokehouse in Sturbridge has officially opened its second location, B.T.'s Fried Chicken & BBQ in Worcester, for business, opting for a soft opening this week before having a more public grand opening in the coming weeks.
The highly-anticipated Worcester eatery quietly opened its doors to foot traffic on Wednesday, following a private opening with friends and family the day before, manager Andrew Hollingworth confirmed Friday morning. An updated menu was also posted to the restaurant’s Facebook page on Thursday.
Hollingworth said the restaurant will plan a grand opening after co-owner Brian Treitman officially announces the location’s opening on social media in the coming week. Hollingworth said they opted for a soft opening to allow staff to get up to speed, noting only two people from the original Sturbridge location were currently working in Worcester.
Treitman and business partner Billy Nemeroff originally hoped to open the Worcester B.T.’s in May, following an economic shutdown due to the coronavirus, although construction was slowed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
B.T.’s Fried Chicken & BBQ in Worcester is located at 318 Park Ave. at Chandler Street, in a former D’Angelo sandwich shop. It is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays.
