BSX Resumes Defibrillator Sales

Boston Scientific, the Natick-based medical device company, has received regulatory clearance to resume distribution and selling of its defibrillators.

The company announced last month it halted production of the devices after finding "a few" instances of changes in the way the products were manufactured that had not been reported to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The recall impacted the company's Cognis and Teligen defibrillator products.

Stopping sales of the products is expected to have an impact on the company's quarterly and year-end financial results.
