Natick-based Boston Scientific Corp. released ultrasound imaging software designed to give physicians a 360-degree view inside the heart and coronary vessels.
The software is an upgrade of the company’s iLab system, and is approved for use in Europe. The new system features the ability to characterize tissue in order to help doctors treat coronary artery disease.
The new system also allows doctors to access patient profiles from hospital servers and view that information on an iLab monitor. The system also edits and saves videos of procedures directly to CD, DVD or hard drive.
BSX said the system is not currently available in the United States.
