BSX Founder Joins Medford Firm's Board

John Abele, co-founder and former co-chairman of Natick's Boston Scientific Corp. has joined the global advisory board of Medford-based Nanobiosym.

Nanobiosym's board works closely with governments, non-government organizations and the company's commercial partners. The company was started by Anita Goel, its present chairman and CEO.

Goel, a Harvard and MIT-trained physicist and physician founded the company as a research institute to "discover breakthrough scientific insights that emerge from the holistic integration of physics, biomedicine and nanotechnology."

The company is currently focused on bringing its "Gene-Radar" to market. Gene-Radar provides people with fast, accurate, portable diagnostic information about their own health, the company said.
