Cross-Fire & Security Co., Inc., a Brooklyn-based life safety company specializing in fire alarm systems, announced Thursday its acquisition of Northeast Integrated Systems and Northeast Fire Systems, Inc, a fire alarm distributor with branches in Malden and Worcester.
Founded in 1982 by James Yantosca and Sheryl Yantosca, NISCO focused on providing life safety systems throughout the education, commercial, office, healthcare and pharmaceutical markets, per a press release.
The purchase price was not disclosed.
The NISCO deal marks the second acquisition by Cross-Fire as it continues its strategic plan to become a fire and life safety company able to offer a full suite of services, according to the announcement. Cross-Fire acquired Alarm & Suppression, Inc. a New York-based alarm and suppression system firm, on Nov. 30.
According to Cross-Fire, the company is actively seeking other acquisitions in order to expand its geographic footprint.
The founder’s son, James Yantosca, Jr., will remain in his role as president of NISCO.
"With the backing of Cross-Fire and AE Industrial, NISCO will be better positioned to take advantage of the significant new opportunities in the industry," said James Yantosca, Jr.
