Hockey fans, concert goers, and other patrons of Worcester’s DCU Center who have a sweet tooth will soon have access to baked goods from a local confectioner, as Worcester candy shop Bri’s Sweet Treats is expanding into a cart at the venue.
Menu items produced by Bri’s owner Briana Azier will now be available at DCU Center events, including giant peanut butter cups and other baked treats with ingredients like Oreos and freeze-dried candy. Items will be available at a cart featuring a purple paint job, matching Bri’s branding.
“Expanding into the DCU Center is a dream come true,” Azier said in a Thursday press release announcing the news. “It allows us to spread joy to even more people in Worcester, a city that has been incredibly supportive of our business from the start.”
Bri’s Sweet Treats was founded in June 2021, with the business expanding to a retail storefront at the Worcester Public Market in 2023. The company was selected by WBJ readers as the winner of the Best New Business category as part of WBJ’s Best of Business 2023 awards and as the winner of the Best Candy Shop category as part of the Best of Business 2024 awards.
The DCU Center has a few entertainment events lined up for September and October, including a Sept. 21 concert featuring country musician Brantley Gilbert and three shows of the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Glow Party scheduled for the weekend of Oct. 5 and 6.
The Worcester Railers’ first home game of their 2024-25 ECHL hockey season is scheduled for Oct. 19 against the Reading Royals.
