Rexam announced Tuesday afternoon that it will shutter the doors of its Holden plastic packaging manufacturing plant by the end of the year.
Rexam, which is based in Perrysburg, Ohio, said that approximately 73 people are currently employed at the Holden location. The employees manufacture, assemble and label custom personal care products.
The Holden location opened in 1997 and is expected to shut down by December of this year.
Rexam said the plant’s production will be absorbed into other existing Rexam facilities.
The affected employees will receive severance packages, according to the company.
