Pies or hot dogs?
That’s the question currently posed by collegiate summer league baseball team Worcester Bravehearts.
According to the team’s website, players on June 19 will play for either the Table Talk Pies or Coney Island Hot Dogs, as the team will change its name for one night only to honor one of the longtime Worcester institutions.
The team is asking fans to vote on the team’s website.
Uniform concepts posted to the Bravehearts’ website depict a neon sign of a hand holding one of Coney Island's iconic hot dog, and another portrays Table Talk Pies’ trademark red plaid tablecloth and an image of a giant pie.
The respective team caps feature “Hot dog Guy,” a caricature of a hot dog in a bun with drenched in chili. On the flip side, a slice of pie with a dollop of whipped cream - “Pie Guy” - will appear on the Table Talk team’s hat.
XLO morning show hosts Frank Foley and Jen Carter will be honorary captains of the teams, with Foley backing the hot dogs and Carter the pies.
The world will have to wait until the first pitch on June 19 to find out which team won.
After, the jerseys will be auctioned off for charity.
