Broadband service provider Lightower Fiber Networks of Boxborough has completed its acquisition of Lexent Metro Connect of New York City.
The acquisition adds more than 150 miles of fiber network cable and more than 200 commercial buildings to Lightower’s network.
Privately held Lightower already does business in the greater New York City area, but adding Lexent makes the company the dominant fiber network in the area, especially in New Jersey.
Less than a month before announcing the Lexent buy in September, Lightower acquired Westford-based Veroxity Technology Partners.
