Crossbeam Systems Inc., a Boxborough-based computer network security firm, has entered a partnership with a Hong Kong distributor.
B & Data Technology Co. Ltd. will resell Crossbeam’s “X-Series” security platform in China and Hong Kong as part of the agreement.
Crossbeam said B & Data’s relationships with existing Crossbeam customers and its local expertise brought the companies together.
Earlier this month, Crossbeam said it was making a push to expand its presence in Hong Kong and China and it hired a long-time network security industry executive to spearhead the effort. Among the company’s existing customers in the region are China Telecom and State Grid Corp., a large power transmission and distribution company.
