Senscio Systems, Inc. of Boxborough said it has received $2.1 million in financing that will be used to distribute its first product and hire employees.
The company received a $1.5 million Series Seed raise, led by members of eCoast Angels and Walnut Venture Associates with participation from members of Golden Seeds and Northeast Angels, according to a statement from MassDevelopment, the state’s finance and development agency.
MassDevelopment also loaned the company $650,000 from the Emerging Technology Fund.
The funds will be used to hire employees and buy hardware to speed deployment of the company’s first product, IbisCare, to 200 more users. IbisCare allows for remote patient monitoring for people living with multiple chronic conditions. The company’s first customer, a midsize accountable care organization in New England, is already using it, MassDevelopment said.
