Boxborough Firm Signs Licensing Deal

Allegro Software Development of Boxborough has reached a licensing agreement with a California firm, A10 Networks, in which Allegro's products will be used in A10's, the companies announced.

Allegro, which makes software toolkits that manufacturers use to enable their machines to be used on the Internet, said legal disputes between the companies have been resolved, allowing both firms to "move forward to focus on growing their businesses."

The statement didn't cite specifics regarding the legal disputes. However, Allegro filed suit against A10 last September in U.S. District Court in Massachusetts, accusing the San Jose-based maker of networking and security software of breaching a previous product licensing agreement between the two firms. According to court records, the suit was dismissed last month.
