Boxborough-based Crossbeam Systems Inc. is making a push to expand its presence in Hong Kong and has hired a network security industry veteran to spearhead the effort.
Marcos Ong will lead Crossbeam’s drive to sell its flagship security platform in Hong Kong, Macau and South China.
Crossbeam already has a list of large customers in China, including China Telecom and State Grid Corp., a large power transmission and distribution company.
The company said China was the largest market in the world for network and data security last year, followed by Australia and South Korea.
