Worcester-based law firm Bowditch & Dewey, LLP has elected estate planning attorney John Shoro as its new managing partner, according to a Tuesday press release from the firm.
Shoro will take over the position from Robert Cox, an environmental attorney who has served as managing partner for the past four years.
Shoro has been with Bowditch & Dewey for more than 30 years, and has led the firm’s estate, financial, and tax planning practice for the last decade.
“Bowditch has a lot of great new talent and it’s imperative that we invest in everyone, whether it’s learning new technology, business development strategies, or client service skills,” Shoro said in a statement. “As client expectations for lawyers and law firms continue to evolve, we will evolve as well and hopefully set the bar in several areas.”
Shoro has been working with Cox over the last several months to transition leadership responsibilities. Cox will remain at the firm as a partner.
