Boston Scientific Corp. of Natick has launched a new balloon catheter, the company announced.
The Charger PTA Balloon Catheter is one of a family of similar new products the company has released this year. It is designed for post-stent dilation, as well as angioplasty to open blocked peripheral arteries.
BSX said the device’s design balances fast bursts of pressure with rapid deflation and a low-entry profile.
