Boston Scientific undertaking $210M acquisition

Boston Scientific has entered into an agreement to acquire an endoscopic company for approximately $210 million.

The agreement announced Tuesday would have the Marlborough company acquire Georgia-based EndoChoice Holdings, Inc. and its products and services for specialists treating a range of gastrointestinal (GI) conditions. The company also has positions in pathology services and imaging technologies, according to Boston Scientific.

Under the terms of the agreement, Boston Scientific will launch a tender offer for all EndoChoice outstanding shares at a cash price of $8 per share, or roughly $210 million. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2016, according to Boston Scientific.
