Medtech giant Boston Scientific had another growth year in 2018, with preliminary financial information pointing to $9.82 billion in revenue.
If those numbers are the same when the company releases its full financial report for the year, that would represent 8.6 percent in growth on a reported basis for the Marlborough-based company.
That comes after a fourth quarter in which the company had $2.56 billion in revenue, good for an 6.3 percent increase on a reported basis.
Boston Scientific said it made gains of at least 8 percent in several segments, including neuromodulation, urology and pelvic health, peripheral interventions, electrophysiology and endoscopy.
U.S. continued to be the company’s largest market, with 2018 sales of $5.54 billion representing a 7.3 percent increase over 2017.
The company also made gains in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, reporting $2.18 billion in sales in those regions, representing a 12.2 percent increase.
The company’s stock opened Tuesday trading up about 2.4 percent.
