Marlborough medical company Boston Scientific announced Tuesday that Michael Jaff will join the company as the vice president for clinical affairs, innovation and technology, peripheral interventions by January 2020.
Jaff is the president of Newton-Wellesley Hospital, part of the Partners Healthcare system in Massachusetts. In his new role, Jaff will lead clinical and medical affairs strategies to support the development and commercialization of the company’s peripheral vascular medical device portfolio. These products include catheters, stents and guidewires.
Jaff has more than 25 years of experience as a vascular clinician. Prior to his role at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Jaff was responsible for redesigning healthcare delivery at Massachusetts General Hospital and led its Fireman Vascular Center.
His research has been published in more than 300 peer reviewed medical journals. Jaff said he has worked with Boston Scientific's devices many times over the years during clinical trials and looks forward to working at the Marlborough firm.
