Two Central Massachusetts companies - Staples Inc. and Bose Corp. - were named to Boston-based Protobrand's list of the 25 most powerful New England brands.
Bose placed seventh on the list while Staples ranked 10th. Both companies are based in Framingham.
Protobrand named Bristol, Conn.-based ESPN the top brand in New England, outpacing Fairfield, Conn.-based General Electric, which landed at second place.
Canton-based Dunkin' Donuts was third on the list.
Protobrand is a marketing firm and compiled the survey using data from 350 marketing professionals from around the country.
Other companies in the Top 10 include Subway, Ben & Jerry's, L.L. Bean, Samuel Adams and Oceanspray.
