The merger officially went through on Saturday. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

“We continue to look for opportunities to partner with leading firms who are strategically aligned with our firm’s focus on delivering innovative services and thought leadership to the market,” said Joseph Kask, blumshapiro CEO, in a statement. “Brighton has established themselves as such a company, and I am excited to have them as part of the blum team.”

The merger makes Brighton’s Burlington office, which will remain where it is, the sixth blumshapiro office in Massachusetts, including locations in Worcester, Boston, Newton, Quincy and North Andover.

Blumshapiro bills itself as the largest regional business advisory firm based in New England. It maintains offices in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Virginia.
