A new unit in the state attorney general’s office will help veterans and active military members with benefits, legal problems and other issues.
Lawyers with the new Veterans Advocacy Unit will be available to answer questions starting Tuesday. Veterans and military members can call 860-808-5318.
The unit will provide guidance on legal issues, benefits, consumer protection, employment and other areas.
Attorney General Richard Blumenthal says there is a great and growing need for these services, and government owes it to veterans and current military personnel to cut red tape and make it clear what they are entitled to.
