In a letter to the head of the Connecticut’s
hedge fund trade group
, State Attorney General Richard Blumenthal dismissed the ongoing
World Hedge Fund Forum
in Greenwich as a “missed opportunity” for meaningful discussion and debate about hedge fund regulation. Oganizers billed the conference as a forum to bring together fund managers, investors, academics and regulators, in the hopes of fostering “constructive dialogue” on the future of the $1 trillion hedge fund industry. Blumenthal is not among the attendees. The forum ends tomorrow.
