Cherry Blow Dry Bar, a chain of blow-dry salons, is slated to open at Shrewsbury's Lakeway Commons for its first Massachusetts location.
The store is expected to open late this fall, Grossman Development Group, the builder of Lakeway Commons, announced Aug. 30. The new salon will be owned and operated by Jeeva Sivaprakasam and Prema Jeevanantham.
Cherry Blow Dry Bar offers blowouts for hair of any length, and offers three types of monthly memberships. Customers can choose from the salon’s styling menu of hairstyles or choose from other services, like hair extensions, treatments, makeup application, eyelashes and scalp massages.
The New Jersey chain has dozens of locations from New Jersey to Florida to Texas.
In June, Southborough-based Grossman Development Group said the roughly 100,000-square-foot retail plaza was at full capacity with three new tenants it announced then: Club Pilates, a California-based chain of pilates studios and gyms, Atlantic Poke, a restaurant focused around the poke dish, and SkinMD Laser & Cosmetic Group.
Those stores join Whole Foods Market, Starbucks, Tavern in the Square, Burton's Grill, Qdoba Mexican Eats, Visionworks and others. Lakeway Commons includes 250 apartments and 14 townhouses.
