The stockholders of Westborough-based BJ’s Wholesale Club Inc. have approved the sale of the company to affiliates of Leonard Green & Partners LP.
Holders of about 72 percent of the company’s outstanding common stock voted in favor of the deal, while about 0.4 percent voted against it.
The company says the merger will occur at the end of the month.
Upon completion of the deal, BJ’s will be delisted from the New York Stock Exchange and stockholders will receive $51.25 per share.
