Sales at BJ’s Wholesale Club Inc. of Natick rose 12.4 percent year-over-year in July to $854.8 million.
On a comparable store basis, sales for the month were up 9.2 percent. Gasoline sales provided a contribution of 3.8 percent.
Compared with July 2010, customers spent more on air conditioners, computer equipment and a number of food items. They bought fewer books, diapers and televisions.
