BJ’s Wholesale Club of Westborough has named Monica Schwartz as the company’s new senior vice president and chief digital officer, the company announced on Thursday.
Most recently, Schwartz worked as vice president of online merchandising at Home Depot, headquartered in Georgia. In that position she was responsible for the company’s online merchandising and category experience across desktop, mobile web and the Home Depot app, according to a press release.
Schwartz will officially assume her new role on Aug. 3, and she will be responsible for strategic leadership of the company’s digital business. She will report directly to BJ’s president and CEO, Lee Delaney.
Schwartz holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a bachelor of fine arts from Miami University.
BJ’s did not immediately clarify how the position became available.
