BJ's donates 50M pounds of food

BJ's Wholesale Club today announced Thursday that it has donated more than 50 million pounds of food through its BJ's Feeding Communities Program.
The Westborough company said it has contributed items to 45 food banks including fresh produce, frozen meats and fish, baked goods and dairy items. According to the announcement, this has resulted in more than 40 million meals to people in need in 15 states.
In celebration of this milestone, BJ’s is donating $50,000 to local food banks. To access those funds, supporters of a food bank must participate in a Facebook trivia game.
