Natick-based BJ’s Wholesale Club Inc. said its third-quarter profit was $23 million compared to $17.4 million a year earlier as sales climbed nearly 5 percent to $2.6 billion.
Last year, the company reported sales of $2.5 billion.
For the first nine months of the year, sales increased 8.6 percent to $7.8 billion.
The company said it expects a full-year profit between $133.6 million and $135.6 million. Its previous guidance estimated a full-year pofit between $128.5 million and $134.5 million.
BJ’s has 190 locations in 15 states.
