Framingham-based office supply retailer Staples Inc. said Vijay Vishwanath was named to the company’s board of directors.
Vishwanath is a partner at Bain & Co., a Boston management consulting firm.
Vishwanath runs the consumer products practice at Bain, where he has worked since 1986. Before Bain, Vishwanath worked at Proctor & Gamble.
